We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Blaine MN. Blaine Brothers is looking for a 1st shift Refrigeration Trailer Technician for the Trailer Service Shop. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude; detail oriented; willing to jump in and help out where needed; and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of refrigerated semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers.  

SCHEDULE: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7am- 4pm

•Strong mechanical aptitude

•Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus

•Welding experience a plus

•Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)

•Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently

•Good written and verbal communication skills

•Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker

•Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment

The Essential Duties Include: 

• Perform all levels of maintenance and repair services on various brands of refrigeration units.
• Perform minor and major repairs on reefer units including freon leaks, electrical issues, engine repairs and rebuilds, etc.
• Be able to test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment.
• Read complex schematics associated with the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Cleans and washes units using a power washer.
• Work safely following Safety Policies and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Mechanical background in heavy duty trucking industry or similar field with diesel engine repair experience. 
• Ability to learn to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Customer Service driven.
• Valid Driver’s License & a satisfactory MVR
