    Job Description
    Position Title: Client Outreach Coordinator
    Reports To: Executive Director
    Hours: 20–25 hours per week, dependent on workload

    The Meals on Wheels (MOW) Client Outreach Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the organization meets Title 3 and NAPIS program requirements while enhancing our mission of providing nutritious meals and fostering independence among our neighbors. This role is vital to making clients feel valued and connected, especially as many experience loneliness. By building and maintaining meaningful outreach programs, the Client Outreach Coordinator plays a key role in bringing care and connection to the seniors we serve.

    Client Outreach

    • Oversee the Title 3/NAPIS program, including:
      • Meeting with clients to complete NAPIS forms.
      • Submitting forms and managing ongoing NAPIS client requirements.
      • Acting as the liaison with Metro Meals on Wheels regarding Title 3 clients.
    • Coordinate current client outreach programs, such as Halloween Bags and Holiday Gifts.
    • Collaborate with third-party organizations to facilitate existing outreach programs (e.g., Fruit Baskets).
    • Establish partnerships with new organizations to create additional outreach opportunities.
    • Facilitate the card program, including Birthday and Thinking of You cards.
    • Regularly evaluate current outreach programs and recommend or implement new initiatives with staff input and  Executive Director approval.
    Staff Support
    • Support the Executive Director as needed with various tasks.
    • Learn all job duties of the Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator to serve as their backup during vacations.
    • Provide assistance as Kitchen Help, Shuttle Driver, or Meal Delivery Driver on an emergency basis.
     
    Required Talents, Skills, and Expertise
    • Passion for Seniors: A caring and patient demeanor, especially when working with seniors to complete forms or address concerns.
    • Ability to work independently
    • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills.
    • Mission-Driven: Energy and enthusiasm for promoting the Meals on Wheels mission.
    • Proficiency in Technology:
      • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Willingness to learn and master new computer programs, such as Vlogistics and Serve Tracker.
    • Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license and properly insured vehicle.
    • Physical Abilities: Ability to:
      • Climb stairs.
      • Stand for extended periods.
      • Lift up to 25 lbs.
