• Payroll and Accounting Associate

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    Proficiency in preparation of payroll checks, deposits and reports.

    Skilled bookkeeping abilities to accurately record and report Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and file management.

    Be the “Director of Impressions” (both first and last) to make sure clients feel welcome when they contact us and leave with a great impression of our firm.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    1. Process payroll information for clients, starting with employee hours, issuing electronic or paper paychecks, making required tax deposits and preparing quarterly and annual reports. Proper application of pre-tax payroll benefits.

    2. Daily processing of time entry

    3. Handle recording/depositing customer payments, maintaining accurate accounts receivable balances and preparation of annual contract renewals.

    4. Perform daily clerical activities including greeting clients both in person and by phone, handling incoming and outgoing mail.

    5. Assist in preparing personal income tax returns

    6. Assist in client accounting processes when requested

    7. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems

    8. Prepare and maintain seasonal mailings, reports and schedules (Tax Season)

    9. Compile and create company newsletter

    10. Maintain adequate office supplies

    11. Aid in preparation of Secretary of State paperwork, including incorporation papers, and update of corporate minute books

    12. Facilitate operation and maintenance of office machines (postage machine, copiers, calculators, etc)

    13. Assist Firm Administrator, as needed, with special projects and assignments

    14. Other duties as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Three years of payroll, accounting and tax experience

    Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel and Word

    Skilled at handling multiple priorities and deadlines

    Adaptability to work with interruptions

    Strong organizational ability
