Wondering How Your Legislator Voted
on Your Concerns?

The time is opportune to review how legislators represented your interests this year at the Capitol.

The Minnesota Chamber annually rates legislators on key votes important to your business. The 2008 Voting Record full report, released this week, can be found at http://emailactivity.ecn5.com/engines/linkfrom.aspx?b=125769&e=1866779&l=http://www.mnchamber.com/2008_Voting_Record.pdf.
Note:  2008 Senate Key Votes starts on page 20.
2008 House Key Votes starts on page 23.

“In today’s uncertain economy, it is more important than ever for Minnesota to remain an attractive place to keep and grow jobs,” Chamber President David Olson said. “Throughout the legislative session, we are a strong advocate for our members at the Capitol. Now our members can find out how their legislators voted on key economic issues.”

Just as important as the final floor votes, however, is how legislators work in committees and behind the scenes to advance the agenda for a competitive business environment. The Voting Record highlights those efforts as well.

We encourage you to review this report, then contact your lawmakers to show your appreciation for their support and/or to share your concerns about their legislative records. If you have any questions about the voting record, contact Tom Hesse, vice president of government affairs, at thesse@mnchamber.com.
