Second Chance Golf Tournament
Dear, Fellow Metro North Chamber Members,
We are the Second Chance for Life Foundation. We are patients helping patients who support people having heart and/or heart-lung transplants. We support people mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially who have had or are waiting to receive a transplant.
Three heart transplant recipients started Second Chance for Life Foundation in 1986. They created a group that addressed the need for spousal and patient support, and offered financial assistance to patients in need. Twenty years later, the founding memberís intentions are as strong as ever, and we continue to provide support to help alleviate the financial constraints that a transplant recipient endures. The average cost of medications for the first three months post-transplant ranges from $ 3000.00 to $ 4500.00 per month.
We are holding our Annual golf tournament on Friday, August 1st at Majestic Oaks Golf Course, Ham Lake, MN. Would you consider helping us with a donation to support our fundraising? Your gift can be in monetary form, merchandise, gift certificate and /or services for silent auction items. If you prefer to give merchandise or an advertising piece, it may be inserted into participant gift bags for a fee of $ 50.00.
The impact of organ transplantation on a personís life is immense, and Second Chance for Life Foundation has given hope, encouragement, and resources to many patients through this challenging process. Second Chance for Life Foundation is an entirely volunteer-run, 501c3 organization and depends on the generosity of its supporters to help transplant patients and their families. Ninety three cents of every dollar given goes directly to patients in need, so you can be sure that your gift is far-reaching.
If you have any questions, please donít hesitate to contact us. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
